Popular not only with the expert jury, but with experienced campers who read automotive magazines too: Hymer and ERIBA were delighted to win several of the motorhome and caravanning industry’s “Oscars” in this year’s poll of the readers of the magazines promobil and CARAVANING. The new Hymer ML-T also won the prestigious European Innovation Award in the “Overall Concept – Motorhome” category. The CMT consumer show provided the backdrop for the award ceremony.
In total, almost 22,000 people participated in the poll and voted for their favourite vehicles in the various categories. Given the high number of enthusiastic campers who participate in the poll of promobil and CARAVANING magazine readers, the survey is highly regarded in the industry and eagerly awaited every year.
In the compact class, the popular ERIBA Touring was named Caravan of the Year 2024. The ERIBA Feeling in the compact class also took second place on the podium. In the luxury class, the ERIBA Touring 820 also made it into the top spots. “The ERIBA Touring embodies our brand and the lifestyle behind it more than any other product. We’re delighted that the readers see it the same way,” says Matthias Binder, ERIBA Brand Manager.
Hymer’s camper vans and motorhomes also impressed the readers, who voted the Grand Canyon S as the most popular “Camper van with a bathroom over 60,000 euros”. In the “Semi-integrated vehicles over 75,000 euros” category, the ML-T, the B-ML-T and the exclusive Venture S off-roader were placed in the Top 10.
The new ML-T also managed to impress the expert jury of the European Innovation Awards, consisting of the editors-in-chief of 17 trade magazines from 15 European countries, and emerged as the winner in the “Overall Concept – Motorhome” category.

The cult caravan: ERIBA Touring
The ERIBA Touring has been captivating its fans for over 60 years. With new trims and features being added over time, it has been continuously adapted to the needs of its customers over the years. What’s more, the new edition of the classic caravan has a glorious new design: the “Nugget Gold”, “Tango Red” and “Harbour Blue” special editions combine the popular retro look from the 1960s with a modern twist. The inside also boasts an impressive new look featuring three interior designs and a colour-coordinated interior.
Maximum freedom: The Grand Canyon S
The improved camper van model is setting new standards where self-sufficiency and design are concerned. Premium panels, a new lighting concept with individually adjustable light temperature and two interior style collections ensure that the camper van feels cosy inside. The “Pearl Grey” style collection is characterised by an oak finish as well as a bright furniture finish with a felt look on the walls. The “Ivy Green” furniture finish, on the other hand, is dominated by olive green furniture set against walls finished in a homely, decorative felt film.
