Every year, the winners of the readers’ polls conducted by the trade magazines promobil and CARAVANING are chosen at CMT. Hymer GmbH & Co. KG received multiple awards once again this year. With a total of eight top places, the premium manufacturer from Bad Waldsee achieved an even better result this year than in 2017. In the field of semi-integrated vehicles, the HYMER Exsis-t managed to hold on to the top spot once again, making this the third year in a row. The silver medal in the category has also gone to Hymer GmbH & Co. KG with the popular Van and Van S. Hymer GmbH & Co. KG’s integrated vehicles are also hugely popular: the B-Class DynamicLine managed to come in second, and the Hymermobil ML-I third, for models costing up to 80,000 euros. In the over 80,000 euros category, the bronze medal has gone to the Hymermobil B-Class PremiumLine. Aside from motorhomes, one HYMERCAR and two ERIBA caravans also achieved extremely pleasing results. The ERIBA Touring took first place in the entry-level and compact class, whilst the ERIBA Nova SL came second in the luxury class. In the Compact Camper Van category, the HYMERCAR Sydney has taken third place.
Hymer GmbH & Co. KG was not only able to impress the readers of the popular trade magazines last year, but the jury of the European Innovation Award as well. For seven years now, this has been awarded by editors from the leading caravanning countries in Europe and honours innovations from across the industry. The international jury of experts presented the award in the “Overall Concept Van” category to the HYMER DuoCar concept vehicle. The SLC chassis, the chassis design that Hymer GmbH & Co. KG developed itself and which is currently the only one of its kind in the industry, has received the European Innovation Award in the Technology category.
There was a third award for HYMER’s B-Class SupremeLine – the 2018 Safety Award from the Deutscher Camping-Club. The experts from the DCC were also impressed by the specially designed and weight-optimised SLC chassis. Thanks to the higher double floor, the water pipes and electronics are easy to access, whilst the lower centre of gravity ensures far better grip, making journeys even safer. However, the jury of experts was also impressed with the many safety systems that have been installed and the convenient solutions, such as the standard sliding shelf for gas bottles.
